ADMINISTRATOR

IMS is looking for an outgoing individual to join our team and take on a full-time Administrator position at our Windsor Locks, CT location. General Purpose:

As an Administrator, you will be responsible for various clerical and non-clerical duties including but not limited to greeting and welcoming clients, visitors, and vendors, answering telephone calls, placing ordering, and data entry in a professional and efficient manner to represent our organization and core compitencies. Travel may be required for training and errands, although this assignment is for office work generally at one location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answering and directing phone calls, sending and replying to emails, sending and receiving faxes, and manually and electronically filing paperwork.
  • Greeting and welcoming clients, visitors, and vendors to IMS, and helping them with their objective or purpose of visiting the office.
  • Tracking personnel whereabouts.
  • Quick to respond to problems or emergency situations within the facility.
  • Data entry.
  • Receiving and sending mail and other packages, verifying merchandise accuracy, stock and label receivables, and notifying the appropriate IMS team members of delivery.
  • Driving to various locations for bank runs and ship packages and/or mail as required.
  • Entering vendor invoices, credit card receipts, and checks into database.
  • Checking the mailbox daily, and disseminating mail and parcels to appropriate individuals.
  • Booking flights, transportation, events and hotels.
  • Scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, maintaining electronic appointment calendars.
  • Coordinating the maintenance and repair of office equipment and company vehicles.
  • Ensuring that office common areas are equipped with required office supplies.
  • Monitoring the use of equipment and supplies within the office.
  • Scheduling and hosting monthly safety meetings.
  • Keeping the office and outdoor walkway clean and free of debris; moreover, cleaning the office each Friday, or as needed, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, and emptying waste baskets.
  • Providing general, clerical, and administrative support to all team members; moreover, taking on special projects as need

Education and Experience:

  • It is not mandatory, although IMS prefers an administrator having experience, training, and/or degree in clerical and administrative procedures, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet research.
  • QuickBooks knowledge preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Valid California Driver’s License and clean DMV record.
  • Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Fluent in English; speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Team oriented.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Determined and motivated to learn.
  • Safe work practices.
  • Reliable, respectful, honest, and trustworthy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and professional personal presentation.
  • Planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to take orders and follow directions.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Use of discretion in disseminating sensitive information.
  • Must be a US citizen and able to pass a background check.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN

IMS is looking for a motivated individual to join our team and take on a full-time Service Technician position at our Mountain View, CA location. General Purpose:

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing manual and CNC machine tools in a professional and efficient manner to represent our organization and core compitencies. Travel to customerss facility is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tools and motion control systems.
  • Use of various hand tools, power tools, computers, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Interacting with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
  • Quick to respond to non-emergency and emergency service requests.
  • Computer research and data entry.
  • Follow orders and safely and thoroughly complete work in a timely manner.
  • Driving to various locations for work assignments.

Education and Experience:

  • It is not mandatory, although IMS prefers a Service Technician having experience, training, and/or degree in machine maintenance, millwright, electrical maintenance, electrician, mechanical maintenance, mechanic, electronics technician, CNC machine tool maintenance, machine tool operator, machinist, or related fields..
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet research.
  • IMS provides training to all employees including but not limited to machining, electrical, mechanical, and programming.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Valid California Driver’s License and clean DMV record.
