Sealed Linear Encoders
Together with ACU-RITE digital readouts, ACU-RITE linear encoders form an economic and effective package solution for initial setup or retrofitting on your machine tool.
SENC 50 Precision Glass Scale
As the result of its extremely compact dimensions, the SENC 50 linear encoder in many different types of applications and situations. It is especially suitable if the installation space is limited or otherwise restricted.
SENC 150 Precision Glass Scales
The SENC 150 from ACU-RITE is the ideal scale for all applications.
The compact and robust design, and the numerous possibilities for mounting, make it ideal for retrofitting. The slight dimensions and high accuracies of this ball-bearing guided encoder, which uses the reflected light method, are ideal prerequisites for use in metrology applications.ACU-RITE 200 series with LCD screen technology offers the possibility of running different types of operations with just one readout.
Linear Encoders
Linear encoders from HEIDENHAIN are essential for machines that require high quality positioning accuracy, reliability and machining speed. Their advanced design improves productivity by eliminating machine tool position errors caused by thermal expansion of recirculating ball screws in linear feed axes, reversal errors, errors caused by deformation of the drive mechanics by machining forces, and kinematic problems through pitch error in the recirculating ball screw.
HEIDENHAIN’s linear encoders are used in a wide variety of industries from milling machines to electronics and semiconductors. The direct drive technology of linear motors offers low wear, low maintenance and higher productivity. Compact, lightweight and easy to install, linear encoders from HEIDENHAIN function properly even after many years of operation.
In addition to increased accuracy, high long-term speed stability and thermal behavior control, HEIDENHAIN’s linear encoders also reduce machine frame vibration, stop excessive noise exposure and are highly tolerant to contamination.
Sealed Linear Encoders
Sealed linear encoders from HEIDENHAIN are protected from dust, chips and splash fluids and are ideal for operation on machine tools. An aluminum housing and elastic sealing lips protect the scale, scanning carriage and guideway from chips, swarf, dirt and splashwater The scanning carriage travels in a low-friction guide within the scale unit. It is connected to the external mounting block by a coupling that compensates unavoidable misalignment between the scale and the machine guideways. Sealed linear encoders are available with full-size scale housings for high resistance to vibration up to 30 m measuring length, as well as slimline scale housing for limited installation space up to 2040 mm measuring length.
